My mother's friend was almost taken by the boxing day tsunami. She is like a second mother to me, I don't know what I would have done if I had lost her.

I am watching this right now. It's pretty unimaginable why things like this happen to innocent people. Some say it's retribution, some say it's something we can't help... I think the rise of severe weather and natural disasters has increased over the years because of human's stupidity. Yet, I can't not blame myself, either. I have to use a car, I'm using a computer, I use electricity, etc. Maybe "God" punishing us. Maybe we all deserve it in some little way. I know I do.

I will pray for those people though. I will lend them my strength, if I can only do it from my safe abode in America.
